Beeston is based on a 25' Yarwoods tug Beeston one of two built for the LMS in 1947.The original is at the boat museum Ellesmere Port awaiting restoration. The other tug Sandbach still exists on the system lengthened to 36'and in LMS colours.The new Beeston retains the front cabin with range and toilet compartment(porta potti),has a long open stern deck with covered engine.
